The Fox River Classic Conference began competing in 2007 when the eight schools of the former Fox River Valley Conference were joined by four schools from the Bay Conference forming a twelve team league.
Schools of the Fox River Valley: Green Bay East, Green Bay Preble, Green Bay Southwest, Green Bay West, Manitowoc Lincoln, Notre Dame Academy, Sheboygan North and Sheboygan South.
Bay Conference Schools: Ashwaubenon, Bay Port, De Pere and Pulaski.
This configuration of schools remained intact through the 2014 school year. Green Bay East and Green Bay West left the FRCC and joined the Bay Conference at the start of the 2015 school year leaving the FRCC with its current make-up of 10 schools.
From the 2008 through 2015 seasons the league was split into an East and West Division.
- East Division: De Pere, Green Bay Preble, Green Bay East, Manitowoc Lincoln, Sheboygan North, Sheboygan South
- West Division: Ashwaubenon, Bay Port, Green Bay West, Green Bay Southwest, Notre Dame Academy, Pulaski
In 2008 and 2013 teams played each team in their division and teams from the other division once. In the other years the teams played each other in a double round robin format. In 2014 and 2015, Green Bay East and Green Bay West combined to form a co-op team which brought the number of baseball teams to 11. After the 2015 season, East and West left to join the Bay Conference bringing it to its current make-up of 10 schools.
Starting with the 2026 baseball season West De Pere will join the FRCC, replacing Sheboygan South.
Bay Port has won the most FRCC Championships with nine. De Pere is next with five, Green Bay Preble with four and Ashwaubenon with three among those teams that have multiple titles. Green Bay Southwest, Manitowoc Lincoln and Notre Dame Academy each have won a single title.
The FRCC has also fared well in the WIAA State Tournament Series. Since the beginning of the conference, the FRCC has been represented every year in the WIAA State Championships except 2008 and 2023. The FRCC can also claim three State Champions (Division 1: Bay Port – 2009 and 2010 and De Pere – 2024) and five runner-up finishes (Division 1: Bay Port – 2012, 2021 and 2022 and Division 2: Notre Dame Academy – 2013 and 2015).
