The Bay Port Pirates wrapped up their 7th consecutive FRCC Girls Golf Title at the final meet of the season held yesterday at Wander Springs. The Pirates swept the last five meets of the season with Conference runner-up De Pere winning the first meet. Bay Port has been unstoppable since 2018 when they claimed their first conference title. Head coach Mitch Meyer also gets his first title as the head coach taking over for Jeff Johnson who had been the head coach the previous eight seasons and started the Pirates on their current run of titles. Johnson left Bay Port to become the head girls golf coach at UW-Oshkosh this year.
In addition to winning the FRCC Golf Championship, Bay Port also placed all six team members on the FRCC All-Conference Teams. Madelyn Gicius, Payton Dudra, and Myah Johnson are 1st Team golfers. Isabel Johnson made the second team and Olivia Teddy and Jordyn Cahill made Honorable mention. De Pere placed four golfers on the All-Conference Team: Emma Hudson (1st), Julianne Bradford (1st), Gabby Hauser (2nd) and Lucy Kim (2nd).
Emma Cunningham – Green Bay Southwest – was the repeat Golfer of the Year with a 9-hole average of 39.63. Emma was the medalist in 4 of the 6 meets held during the year. You can find the all-conference teams with their 9-hole averages at the link provided at the bottom.

Next up for the girls is WIAA tournament play which gets underway October 2. Bay Port will be shooting for their 8th consecutive sectional title.
