WIAA Tournament play gets under way on Tuesday, February 18 in boys Hockey and boys Wrestling holds their team sectional round.
Boys Hockey
The seeds have been set for boys hockey for WIAA tournament play. All FRCC hockey teams compete in the Division 1 tourney. FRCC Champion Notre Dame Academy is the 2-time defending State Champion in Division 1 and will shoot for their 3rd straight title as a 3-seed. In WIAA Division 1 tournament play there is only one round of Regional play with winners moving on to sectional play with the first round of sectionals being held on Thursday February, 20 or Friday February 21.
Regional Round Games for FRCC Boys Hockey Teams – Tuesday, February 18:
- 5:30pm – #7 Bay Port vs #10 Xavier Co-op at Cornerstone Community Center
- 7:30pm – #3 Notre Dame Academy vs #14 Oshkosh North Co-op at Cornerstone Community Center
- 7:30pm – #13 Manitowoc Co-op vs #4 West Bend West Co-op at Kettle Moraine Ice Arena
- 8:00pm – #5 De Pere/West De Pere vs #12 Appleton North/East/West at De Pere Ice Arena
- 8:00pm – #9 Sheboygan South Co-op vs #8 Ashwaubenon/Pulaski/Seymour/Wrightstown at Cornerstone Community Center

Boys Team Wrestling Sectional
FRCC Wrestling Champion Bay Port will host and participate in the WIAA Boys Team Wrestling Sectional. To qualify for the sectional teams must finish in the top 2 during the individual regional competition. Regionals are then paired and the top 2 teams from each paired regional compete in the team sectional. The winner of each regional will compete in a semi-final match against the runner-up of the other regional and then the winners will face-off in the Championship match for the right to go to the WIAA Team State Wrestling Tournament.
Bay Port also qualified for last year’s team wrestling sectional losing in the Sectional final to eventual State Champion Kaukauna. Participating in this year’s team sectional hosted by Bay Port: Regional Champion Bay Port and Runner-up Luxemburg-Casco from the Green Bay Preble Regional and Regional Champion Slinger and Runner-up Port Washington from the Port Washington Regional. Luxemburg-Casco was the Division 2 State Champion last year and was moved up a Division this year in accordance with The WIAA performance success factor.
Team Sectional Wrestling Matches – Tuesday, February 18 at Bay Port High School:
Semi-finals at 6:00pm
- Bay Port vs. Port Washington
- Slinger vs. Luxemburg-Casco
Semi-final match winners will meet for the Sectional Championship 20 minutes after the conclusion of the semi-finals
