The Fox River Classic Conference Girls Tennis Season will conclude this week with a full slate of matches taking place on Tuesday, September 26 and one make-up match scheduled for Wednesday, September 26. Notre Dame Academy sits atop the conference right now with a record of 7-0 one game ahead of second place Ashwaubenon in the loss column with a record of 7-1. The championship scenario looks like this: The Tritons will host Ashwaubenon on Tuesday and with a win will clinch the outright FRCC Championship. A Jaguar win will guarantee Ashwaubenon at least a share of the title. An Ashwaubenon win on Tuesday and Notre Dame loss on Wednesday and Ashwaubenon wins the title outright. An Ashwaubenon win on Tuesday and a Notre Dame win on Wednesday means Ashwaubenon and Notre Dame would be co-champs.
The remaining conference records to date are De Pere (5-2), Bay Port (5-3), Manitowoc Lincoln (5-3), Pulaski (4-4), Sheboygan North (3-5), Green Bay Preble (2-6), Sheboygan South (1-7) and Green Bay Southwest (0-8).
The remaining matches to take place on Tuesday are: De Pere at Green Bay Southwest, Manitowoc Lincoln at Green Bay Preble, Pulaski at Sheboygan North, Bay Port at Sheboygan South, and as mentioned above with an FRCC Championship on the line second place Ashwaubenon travels to current leader Notre Dame Academy. Wednesday’s match is a make-up between Notre Dame Academy and De Pere at De Pere high school which could impact the final standings depending on Tuesday outcome between Notre Dame Academy and Ashwaubenon. All matches have a 4:00pm start time.
