The 2025 spring sports season is underway. The Fox River Classic Conference sponsors conference championships in the spring sports of baseball, boys golf, girls soccer, softball, boys tennis and boys and girls track and field. Following is a brief write-up on the upcoming seasons with links to schedules and where standings and results can be found. The Fox River Classic Conference has a website which is continually being updated. You can find current season information, past years results and all-conference teams and in many cases records and State Tournament successes. Track and Field
Boys and Girls Track and Field has been underway for a few weeks now and many schools have competed in some indoor meets. De Pere is the defending champion on the boys side and Bay Port is the defending champion on the girls side. The FRCC also performed well at the 2024 State Track and Field meet with numerous athletes reaching the podium, including seven State Champions. Those athletes are listed here.

The FRCC Relay meet is scheduled for May 6 at Bay Port and the FRCC meet is scheduled for May 20 at Sheboygan North.

Softball
Softball began practice last week and some teams have begun competitions as they headed down south on their spring breaks for some warm weather contests. Ashwaubenon is the defending FRCC Champion finishing the 2024 campaign with an 18-0 record in conference. The Jaguars also made it the furthest in the WIAA Tournament, losing to Kaukauna 4-0 in the Sectional final.

Girls Soccer
Girls Soccer started practice this week and can hold their first contests next week, weather permitting. Bay Port is the defending FRCC Champion having gone undefeated in Conference play at 9-0. Notre Dame Academy had the most tournament success losing to eventual State Champion Plymouth 2-1 in the Division 3 Sectional Final.

Baseball
Baseball also got underway this week and their first competitions will take place weather permitting. Like Softball, if spring breaks lineup many teams will head south for some warm weather competitions. De Pere is the defending FRCC Champion and they were able to follow that up in WIAA Tournament play claiming their first ever WIAA State Championship in baseball winning the Division 1 title 5-1 over Sun Prairie East. The Redbirds defeated Bay Port in the Sectional Final to claim their spot in the State Tournament field.

Boys Tennis
Boys tennis starts up next week with Notre Dame Academy defending their 2024 FRCC Championship. The Tritons finished 9-0 in the conference. In the WIAA State Tennis Tournament, Alex Thomas, Notre Dame Academy, finished as the runner-up in Division 2 finals. The Notre Dame Academy doubles team of Matt Gugluizza and Aiden Burich also finished up as runners-up in Division 2.

Boys Golf
Our last sport of the spring, boys golf, also gets underway next week. Bay Port is the defending FRCC Champion. The Pirates, along with Notre Dame Academy and Sheboygan North also qualified for the team competition of the WIAA State Golf Meet. Bay Port had the highest finish at 6th with Notre Dame Academy finishing 10th. Sheboygan North, who was the Defending State Champion came in at 13th. Karsen Kruse of Bay Port was the highest individual finisher in last year’s State Meet placing 14th.
