The FRCC consisted of eight teams when it started play in the 2010-11 season.  Over the course of the next eight years the make-up of the league changed on an almost yearly basis.  Five teams (Ashwaubenon, Bay Port, De Pere, Notre Dame Academy and Sheboygan) made up the FRCC from the 2018-19 season through the 23-24 season. 

The 2024-25 season sees the return of a Manitowoc based team competing again in  conference play.  Manitowoc Lincoln will be the host school for the Manitowoc United Co-op. 

Bay Port is the defending FRCC Champion having dethroned Notre Dame Academy who had won the previous four championships.

Notre Dame Academy is the two-time defending WIAA Division 1 State Hockey Champions having won the title the previous two years.  The Tritons defeated Bay Port in last years Sectional Final to advance to the State Meet for the opportunity to defend their State Title from the previous year.

The conference champion in boys hockey is determined by an end of season tournament.  The teams are seeded for the conference tournament by their finish in conference play during the regular season.  Here is how teams are seeded:

The conference seeding will be determined by counting 3 points for a win in regulation or forfeit; if tied, use 3 man shoot out, if still tied, used sudden death shootout with roster list, for two points, one point if still tied, and zero points for a loss in all contests that make up the conference schedule.

Tiebreakers for Seeding:

1. Head to Head (if only two teams are tied, if more than two teams, proceed to “b”)
2. Scoring Quotient- divide goals “for” by the total of goals “for” and goals “against” to get the quotient:

• EX: Team A has 15 GF- 7 GA= 15/22 (.682)
• Team B has 11 GF- 7 GA= 11/18 (.611)
• If two teams remained tied after the “scoring quotient,” coin flip by involved ADs determines higher seed.

1. Seeds 1 through 6 will play a bracketed tournament – 2 game max.  Seeds 1-4 will play in semi-final games on Thursday for a chance to play in the Conference Championship Game.  Gm 1 – Seeds 1 vs. 4.  Gm 2 Seeds 2 vs. 3.
2. Seeds 5 and 6 will play a single game on Friday – Gm – 3.  
3. On Saturday, the first game will be the loser of Gm 2 vs the loser of Gm 3.  The second game will be the winner of Gm 3 vs. the loser of Gm 1.  The third game will be the Championship game – the winner of Gm 1 vs. the winner of Gm 2.
4. The higher seeded team will be the HOME team.
